Introduction

Dongtai, emerges by relying on the sea and prospers by developing the sea. Xixi is the place of origin of the salt culture of the two coasts, the place of origin of the national intangible cultural heritage "the legend of Dong Yong", and the national key cultural relics protection unit, Hai Chunxuan Tower, has stood for thousands of years. The "three ministers" in the Northern Song Dynasty brought benefits to the people and their kindness has lasted until now.

The Xixi Scenic Area extends from the Chuanchang River in the east to the Yinjiang River in the south, relies on the 204 National Road in the west, and reaches the Dongxiang River in the north. It has jurisdiction over 5 communities (villages) and a core scenic area. The planned total area is 16 square kilometers, the urban development area is 7.5 square kilometers, and the cultivated area is 2,397 mu. The Tianxianyuan Scenic Area and the Xixi Botanical Garden interact and connect in series to form a 3-square-kilometer core area. It develops night-time cultural and tourism formats such as "night performances, night entertainment, night accommodation, night shopping, night banquets, and night tours", and receives more than 3 million visitors annually, with the total income of the park exceeding 2 billion yuan.

After ten years of deep planting and intensive cultivation, the Xixi Scenic Area adheres to the development positioning of "urban leisure living room", and strives to explore the development paths of the economy, culture, society, people's livelihood, and rural areas, and vigorously opens up a new pattern of scenic area development. Xixi has been rated as a national AAAA-level tourist scenic area, a national night-time cultural and tourism consumption cluster area, a Jiangsu film and television base, a provincial smart tourist scenic area, the first batch of modern service industry high-quality development cluster demonstration areas in Jiangsu Province, a provincial cultural industry demonstration park, selected as "preferred projects for the integration of national intangible cultural heritage and tourism development", a typical case of humanistic economy in the Yangtze River Delta, the live-action performance of "Tianxianyuan" was selected into the first batch of the national list of excellent tourist performing arts, and has consecutively ranked as the 5A-level tourist park in Yancheng for seven consecutive years, becoming a beautiful cultural card in the coastal area of Jiangsu and a unique cultural brand in the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta.
